Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026
1. Introduction
Mitikasha LLC ("FundQuill," "we," "us," or "our") operates FundQuill, a browser-based tool for auditing, tracing, and stress-testing Excel financial models. FundQuill is a product of Mitikasha LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information we do, and do not, collect when you use the Service.
The defining principle of FundQuill is that your model is processed entirely on your own device, inside your browser. Your workbooks, their formulas, and their numbers are never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers. We never see them.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
2.1 Your Model
When you open a workbook in FundQuill, all processing (parsing, the integrity audit, dependency tracing, recalculation, what-if and simulation) runs locally in your browser, on your own device. Any report or file you produce is saved directly from your browser to your computer. We do not receive, transmit, store, log, or have any access to your model, its formulas, or its values.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 License and Device Information
When you activate FundQuill Pro or Firm, your browser generates a device key pair. The public half is sent to our licensing service and stored alongside a device fingerprint (a SHA-256 hash of that public key) and your license identifier; the private half never leaves your device and cannot be read out, even by our own code. This is what enforces the device limit on your plan. Your entitlement is short-lived, so the application re-verifies with our licensing service periodically; that check transmits your device fingerprint and a signature, and nothing else. Activation does not require an account, and no part of it transmits your model.
3.2 Purchase Information
FundQuill Pro and FundQuill Firm are sold through Paddle, our Merchant of Record. When you purchase a license, Paddle collects and processes your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment-card numbers. We receive limited order metadata, such as the purchaser email, order/license identifier, and product purchased, to issue and support your license.
3.3 Hosting & Technical Data
FundQuill is delivered as static files by our hosting provider. As with any website, our hosting provider processes standard request metadata, such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, for the purpose of securely delivering the application. This metadata is not linked to any model content (which we never receive) and is not used to build advertising profiles.
3.4 Usage Measurement
FundQuill does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking. The application loads no third-party scripts, and its content security policy permits no network connection to any origin other than our own. So it is not merely our policy that your model stays on your device, it is what the application is able to do.
3.5 Feedback You Send Us
FundQuill includes an optional feedback form. If you choose to use it, we store what you write: your message, and an email address only if you supply one so we can reply, together with lightweight context: the same-origin page you sent it from and a truncated copy of your browser's user-agent string. This is saved in our database and used solely to read, understand, and act on your feedback. Providing an email is optional, it never includes your model, its formulas, or its values, and we keep it only as long as we need it to follow up.
3.6 Team Information (FundQuill Firm)
FundQuill Firm is a team plan, so it involves one more party than the other tiers: the person who administers the team. If you buy a Firm subscription, we store the email address you purchased with as the team's admin contact, together with the team's order identifier and seat count. If you join a team by activating an invite code, we store the seat you occupy and the device binding described in 3.1 above.
Your team admin can see and act on your seat. Through the team console, an admin can view the seats on their team and the devices bound to them, change the seat count, revoke a seat, and reset a seat's device binding. Revoking a seat ends that member's paid access. We mention this plainly because it is the one place in FundQuill where somebody other than you can affect your access: it is how a team plan works, not an exception we make quietly.
A seat is identified by its device fingerprint and its position on the team, not by a personal profile. Joining a team does not give your admin any access to your models, because your models never leave your device and we never receive them. What an admin administers is entitlement, not content.
4. How We Use Information
- To deliver, maintain, and improve the FundQuill application
- To issue, validate, and support FundQuill Pro licenses
- To fulfil purchases and handle refunds (through Paddle)
- To respond to your support requests
- To read and act on feedback you send through the feedback form
- To operate Firm teams: seat assignment, seat changes, and team administration
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized license use
- To comply with our legal and tax obligations
5. Data Sharing
We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Paddle: processes purchases and refunds as our Merchant of Record.
- Resend: delivers your licence key by email after purchase. It receives your email address and the licence key, and nothing else.
- Hosting provider: delivers the static application files.
- Your team admin (Firm only): if you occupy a seat on a Firm team, the seat and device information described in 3.6 is visible to that team's admin.
- Legal requirements: where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Mitikasha LLC, our users, or third parties.
We do not sell your personal information. Because we never receive your models, there is no model content for us to share, lose, or disclose.
6. International Data Transfers
FundQuill is operated from the United States. If you are located elsewhere, the limited license, device, and purchase metadata described above may be processed in the US and in other countries where our service providers operate, subject to appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law (e.g. UK GDPR, EU GDPR).
7. Data Security
The application is served over encrypted connections (TLS). Because your data is processed locally and never transmitted to us, the most sensitive information you handle in FundQuill never traverses our infrastructure at all. The limited license and purchase metadata we hold is protected with industry-standard safeguards.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the limited personal data we hold about you (e.g. purchase email and license records)
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your purchase/license records, subject to legal and tax retention rules
- Object to certain processing or withdraw consent
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@mitikasha.com. You can remove your locally stored license at any time by clearing FundQuill's site data in your browser.
9. Data Retention
We retain purchase and license records for as long as needed to support your license and to meet tax and legal record-keeping obligations, after which they may be deleted. We retain no data files, because we never collect them.
10. Children's Privacy
FundQuill is a professional tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
